In support of all academic program reviews, the Office of Planning and Analysis (OPA) prepares summaries of central data designed to provide easy access to a wide range of complex institutional data at the start of self-assessment activities and to standardize an important feature of the academic program review process.

The summaries offer a quick and easy way to review a large amount of enrollment, demographic, survey, financial and other data and to determine if trends are emerging that may be relevant for the self-study. Department Chairs are asked to identify two or three external peer institutions and two or three internal peer departments, which OPA will use for comparative analysis. In some cases, OPA may also be available to examine additional questions or issues that are of particular interest to the unit.
